Independent Installation and Setup
HallPilot is a self-service product. Each purchasing school makes its own copy, enters its information, authorizes the required Google permissions, and deploys the web app within its own Google environment. Step-by-step illustrated instructions are included.
Google Workspace Administrator Approval
Some school districts restrict Google Apps Script, web-app deployment, or third-party authorization. Depending on the district’s security settings, assistance or approval from a Google Workspace administrator may be required. HallPilot cannot override restrictions established by a school or district.
Staff Access and Authentication
Each staff member who needs dashboard access must use an individual Google Account listed in the Staff Access tab. Shared accounts are not recommended because access is assigned by email address. The deployment’s access setting must also permit those staff accounts.
School-Owned Data
Each school’s HallPilot copy and student movement data are stored in that school’s own Google Sheet and Google Drive environment. The school is responsible for managing access, sharing permissions, data retention, backups, and compliance with its district’s student-data policies. The creator does not routinely receive or manage a school’s student data.
Browser and Internet Requirement
HallPilot is a web-based system and requires an internet connection and a modern web browser. It is not currently a standalone mobile application and does not provide offline operation.
Updates
Because each school independently owns and manages its copy, updates to the original HallPilot product may not automatically appear in previously installed copies. Updated instructions or files may require action by the school.
Integrations
HallPilot does not automatically connect to a student information system, Microsoft 365, access-control hardware, or other school platforms unless a specific integration is expressly identified. Student, staff, and settings information must be entered or maintained as described in the setup guide.
Self-Service Support Model
The affordable one-time price reflects HallPilot's self-service model. Detailed setup instructions are included. Limited email assistance is available as the creator’s school leadership schedule permits, but immediate, ongoing, or district-level technical support cannot be guaranteed.
One-School License
Each purchase licenses HallPilot for use by one school. The product, spreadsheet-copy link, code, and installation materials may not be shared with other schools or redistributed.
